Bristol Christmas Lights Switch On 10th November 2017
/We would like to share a few pictures from the last weekend's event - The Bristol Christmas lights switch-on at Cabot Circus.
We've been involved with this event for several years now (often in cooperation with the brilliant Cirque Bijou team), so we were very excited to help again with the launch of festive season in Bristol!
We provided full technical production, including sound, lighting, staging and crew. This year we employed multiple distributed L-Acoustics Kara and Kiva II arrays along with SB 15 and 18 subs to deliver clear audio to the estimated 4000 strong crowd in the multi level shopping complex.
Kiva II again impressed - compact and lightweight, it never fails to deliver clarity and precision for speech and lead instruments as well, not to mention easy and quick set up which is essential in the shows where time really matters. (the King team tirelessly rigged throughout the night to ensure disruption to the normal functioning of Bristol’s main shopping quarter was kept to minimum).
From 5:30pm the Snow Queen and her elves led a procession from The Galleries through Quakers Friars into Cabot Circus, stopping to serenade the crowds along the way.
The main festive fun kicked off at 6pm in Cabot Circus as pupils from The Dolphin School performed a selection of Christmas songs at the stage outside House of Fraser mid floor.
The highlight of the event - Cirque Bijou's mischievous acrobatic elves who bravely climbed a mountain of presents to turn on the Christmas lights. What fun!
King team was truly excited to be part of this big and important for the city event. Thank you for your trust in us all these years and choosing our company as your main contractor over and over again. We feel very proud and humbled at the same time and look forward to even more wonderful Christmas events in the future!
